What The Bureau Delivers

Four service lines, each designed to produce a specific, measurable outcome - not a generic deliverable.

Discuss Your Challenge

Engagements Structured Around Your Endpoint

Every engagement at The Bureau starts with the same question: what does success look like in twelve months, and how will you know you have reached it? That endpoint shapes the scope, the team composition, and the methodology we bring. We do not sell fixed-length retainers or modular workshop packages by default - we design each engagement to be as long as it needs to be and no longer. Typical projects run between eight and twenty weeks, with a clear phase structure and a defined handover protocol so your internal team can own the result independently when we step back.

Our Four Service Lines

Strategy Advisory

We work with boards and executive teams on the questions that matter most: where to compete, how to allocate business, which capabilities to build versus buy, and how to sequence a multi-year strategic agenda. Typical deliverables include a scenario-tested strategic plan, a prioritised initiative portfolio, and a decision-rights framework that prevents drift.

Operations Transformation

From supply chain redesign to shared-services consolidation, we rebuild the operating model to remove friction and restore margin. We map current-state processes at granular level, benchmark against peers, and co-design a future state with the people who will live in it. Handover includes documented processes, KPI dashboards, and trained internal owners.

Organisational Change

Restructuring, post-merger integration, and culture programmes all require a change architecture that is as well-engineered as the technical design. We manage stakeholder alignment, run leadership alignment sessions, design the internal communication rhythm, and build the capability your managers need to sustain the change after go-live.

Interim Advisory & Board Support

When a project demands continuity between engagements, or when a board needs independent analytical firepower for a specific decision, we provide senior advisors on a part-time or interim basis. Engagements typically cover M&A preparation, investor-readiness, annual strategy reviews, and independent due-diligence support.

Common Questions About Working With Us

How long does a typical engagement last?

Most strategy and operations engagements run between eight and twenty weeks, depending on scope and organisational complexity. Change and transformation programmes that include implementation support often extend to six months. We scope precisely after an initial discovery session, so you will have a clear timeline before any contract is signed.

Do you work with companies outside Slovakia?

Yes. Roughly half our current client portfolio is based in the Czech Republic, Austria, or Hungary. We work in English, Slovak, and Czech. For engagements further afield in the EU, we partner with trusted local advisors who understand the regulatory and cultural context.

What size of company do you typically work with?

Our primary focus is mid-market companies with revenues between EUR10 million and EUR250 million. That said, we have worked with fast-growing SMEs preparing for their first institutional investor, and with divisional leadership teams inside large corporates who need independent analytical support that bypasses internal politics.

How do you price your engagements?

We price on a project basis, not by the hour. After a scoping conversation we provide a fixed fee proposal tied to the defined scope and deliverables. This aligns our incentives with yours - we have no interest in extending an engagement beyond what the problem requires.

Can you work alongside our existing internal strategy or finance team?

That is our preferred model. We work best when we are augmenting an internal team rather than replacing it. Your people hold the institutional knowledge; we bring the analytical framework, the external perspective, and the structured process. The handover at the end is cleaner because the internal team was part of the work from the start.

How we work

The Bureau provides management and operational planning support. Each engagement is scoped in writing, uses client-provided facts, and avoids promised outcomes. Work that requires a separate professional permission is handled by the client with qualified external advisers.
